Evidence from commercial tables
Notes from pricing managers and analysts after commissions, reviews, and working sessions — including where the work left a mild reservation.
The dashboard commission finally put list and invoice net on the same page for our snack category. We still argue about rebate timing — that gap is labelled honestly — but the corridor debate now starts from shared numbers.Siriporn Chaiyawan — Pricing manager, Bangkok consumer goods group · Pricing Insight Dashboard Commission
The margin waterfall review did not flatter our festival promotion. It showed how stacked overlays pulled contribution below what the ladder suggested. Useful, if a little uncomfortable in the committee.Marcus Ellison — Commercial analyst, regional beverages · Margin Waterfall Review
We booked a competitor corridor brief before a retailer negotiation. Pack matches were careful, and the notes on where sizes differed kept us from overclaiming. The brief arrived two days before our internal deadline.Nattaya Phongam — Category lead, personal care · Competitor Price Corridor Brief
The working session forced us to pick one pricing question instead of twelve. The action note named owners. I would have liked a longer follow-up included in the fee, but the half-day itself was tightly run.Hiroshi Tanaka — Head of commercial planning, Nonthaburi office · Commercial Analyst Working Session
Extended notes
Snack category corridor before a list change
A Bangkok consumer goods group needed list and invoice net visible together before proposing a list increase on a core snack family. We mapped standing ladders against invoice clouds for two quarters, labelled rebate accrual timing as an open finance question, and handed a reading guide the pricing manager still uses in committee. The list change proceeded with a narrower SKU set than first proposed — the corridor view had shown where exception deals already sat soft.
Festival promotion leakage in beverages
A regional beverages commercial desk disputed why contribution fell after a festival overlay. The waterfall separated standing terms from temporary promotions and returns. Overlays that had been treated as “noise” accounted for most of the soft contribution. The review did not recommend a new list; it recommended fewer stacked overlays on the next campaign calendar.
